If you arrive to the rental property and there is an unexpected problem, first contact the owner or manager to make them aware of the problem and try to have it resolved.
If you feel justified to have the rental payment not released to the landlord, you can contact DepositGuard and we will withhold the payment until the issue is sorted out. We will immediately notify the landlord of your complaint and that you have instructed us to withhold their payment. Please note, if we do not hear from you before noon CST the day after the rental starts the payment is automatically released to the landlord.
